I’ve always wanted to write. I remember first deciding I wanted to be a writer when I was a little boy, and I employed my budding writing skills selling limericks at school.
When I was 17 years old an established author told me, ‘to become a writer you either needed to go to university and get taught how to do it, or go out and learn about the world for a couple of decades and then pick up a pen’. I chose the long way round, and College Press finally published my first novel, ‘Ivory Madness’ in 1983.
Since then I have written 21 books in total, a combination of fiction and biographical adventure stories. My most recent offering ‘Learning from Elephants’ is my reluctant autobiography, and I have been surprised and touched by the positive reception it has received.
I’ve listed some of my books that are currently available below, and you can access more information about each book if you click on the title.
All of my books can be ordered directly from me. Some are also available on Amazon, and I have included the Amazon link on the book pages where appropriate.
